Customs update the exchange rate twice every month. Whenever customs updates the exchange rate, we will also revise the same here.

Current Exchange Rate of Customs

Current Custom Exchange Rate Used For Import Export.

Customs divided the exchange rate into two schedules, Currently, in the First Schedule 20 currencies are included.

In the second schedule, only 2 currencies are included, maybe in the future customs add more currencies.

Below I provided the latest custom exchange rate which is effective from 20th January 2023.

The exchange rate is the value of one country’s currency concerning the author’s currency.

99% of export-import shipments are done in foreign currency.

So, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) fixed a currency exchange rate for import-export Customs clearance.

Exchange rates are determined in the foreign exchange market.

The CBIC monitors the exchange rate changes and releases the updated exchange rate notification on a time-to-time basis.

Checking the old or previous year’s exchange rate is a very easy process.

To check the old exchange rate, you need to visit the notification page by clicking the above button.

There you can see an option of year.

Custom Exchange Rate Notification

By clicking on the year you can get a list of previous years.

You just need to select a year and which year’s exchange rate you need.

And it will show you the whole notification of the exchange rate for the particular year.
