      Hi Guna Sekhar,

If the product is covered under BIS then you need to get a BIS certificate to import the goods, otherwise, you need to get prior permission from the concern department to import without a BIS certificate.

    Hi,

I have been importing toys (diecast cars) for personal use (as a collector). You have mentioned BIS not needed for self use, but they made bis mandatory for toys..
Now what I am supposed to do? How I could convey it’s for personal use and I don’t need to provide BIS certificate
